Our ideal Director of Operations for the UK is a self-motivated, detail-oriented, open-minded and dedicated individual that has an intuitive sense of the constraints and opportunities relating to innovation in the AEC industry.

The Director of Operations will run Q5′s UK operations, including Financial Management, Project and Quality Management, Industry Outreach and Marketing. In many ways, we (including you!) will define the position as we move forward. Position is based in UK (location flexible)  but travel to clients and job sites within UK and Europe required. We will also require occasional ‘pilgrimages’  to Q5′s Corporate HQ in Woburn, MA.

Hiring Criteria include:

• Minimum Bachelors degree in architecture or construction related field or equivalent work experience
• Deep understanding of contract structures and work practices in the UK and Europe
• 10+ years in construction industry, including work experience with VDC
• Excellent technical skills (ranging from Word to Solibri to social media)
• Strong management skills (both personal and team management)
• Creative thinker with ability to work in a close knit environment with like minded personalities
• Passion for industry transformation
